What is a Hammam?
The hammam — also known as a Turkish bath — is one of the oldest wellness traditions in the world. Originating in North Africa and the Middle East, it combines steam heat, deep body cleansing and therapeutic touch to purify the skin and calm the mind.
At Bain Foch, our hammam is performed in a private steam room by an expert therapist. The ritual begins with the heat of the steam, which opens the pores and relaxes the muscles. Your therapist then applies savon beldi (traditional black soap from Morocco), working it across the entire body in slow, firm movements before performing the kessa scrub — a full-body exfoliation that removes dead skin and reveals a radiant, silky complexion.
